Hello and Welcome! My name is Michaela (pronounced Mih-kel-ah) and I am thrilled that you have stopped by to check out my photography site.
Here’s just a little bit about me:
I grew up in Shawano, WI, attended college in DePere, WI at St. Norbert College, and afterwards lived in Milwaukee, WI for 4 years. In 2008 I moved to Ashland, WI. I live here with my husband, our 1 year old chocolate lab, and our four kiddos ages 7, 6, 4, and 9 months. I have always had a love for photography and remember developing film in a dark room class during my high school days. My passion escalated after the birth of my oldest in 2009. I have been photographing newborns, babies, children, and families ever since.
I shoot with Canon equipment for no other reason than it’s what I have always shot with. If you are into the specifications, I shoot with a Canon5D Mark III. What’s in my bag? 50 1.4, 100 2.8L, 24-70L, and the 70-200 2.8L.
I love coffee, I am afraid of cats, I am known to be impulsive and stubborn, when I get anxious or nervous I talk a lot, I have my private pilot’s license, I like to travel, I love anything chocolate, I have green eyes, I love dark beers – my favorite is the Nut Brown from the Deep Water here in Ashland, I am an early riser, I enjoy downhill skiing, cheering for the Packers, shopping at thrift stores, and spending the summer on the water. 🙂
Thanks for reading a little bit about me! I look forward to hearing from you and working with you in the future!
