Welcome to the third month of Life Songs. I am so thrilled to be a part of a life stories project with eleven other talented photographers! In this series, we will be documenting our lives with a different theme song each month. The images in the posts will be taken from a less traditional approach, showcasing “real life” in our own ways. This month’s inspiration is “Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel. Please don’t forget to click on the next photographer’s link in the circle at the end of this post! ………
Ok, I have to admit that my take on this month’s song didn’t go as planned. But, we did have fun taking these photos in honor of St. Patty’s Day. I learned the hard way that I should not have my backdrop stand with seamless paper out when trying to photograph my own kids. My shouting pleas of ”leave it alone”, and “it’s not a toy!”… only ensued in a ripped roll of paper and a near fatal crash of the background stand. Far from the silence I had imagined. haha.

Thank you for viewing my Life Stories post, and please visit Stephanie’s post of Castilia Photography to see her take on this month’s song!
LOL! I’m not at all surprised that “silence” is a little difficult to capture from small children. These are none the less adorable
Maybe no silence, but they sure are adorable! I love the big smiles – looks like they had a blast!
Ha! Silence is pretty rare here, too, try as I might to achieve it sometimes
These are precious!
I’m with Tessa, silence is a very difficult thing to capture with little ones. You captured some really gorgeous expressions.
